We recently interviewed with a new client who is interested in hiring us to do the interior design on several luxury, fractional-ownership homes in various mountain towns here in Colorado. We decided to pull together two very different room schemes in order to show the client our versatility. We pulled together a very traditional/transitional scheme that was a bit on the feminine side and a more modern, architectural scheme that was very masculine.
I chose an image of a room designed by Celerie Kemble that appeared in House Beautiful's November 2007 issue to use as my inspiration.
I wanted to keep the same cozy, luxurious feeling of the room, but punch up the color and tone down how feminine the room felt.
